Hi!

In emforge.net - no, only site admin allowed to do it. If you installed emforge portlets locally, you need login as admin user and remove community in control panel (emforge create for each project liferay's community).

No. EmForge Lite - is standalone version and currently is under limited support (only critical bugs are fixed and ne features are implemented only for critical customers like Catalan Goverment).

EmForge Liferay Portlet is a new version specially designed to work as portlets for Liferay. For now it is already supported most features EmForge Lite has, as well as has many new features provided by Liferay (like forums or advanced administration).

For now, EmForge Liferay Portlets working only under Liferay 5.2.3. We are planning to release version supported Liferay 6 in a month. It is very important for us, since with supporting Liferay 6 we are going to implement rest of features from EmForge Lite still is not supported in portlets, like workfow or reports. Both features should be easily implemnented with using features provided by Liferay 6

Secure EJB acces from WEB but values not propagated..?

Hi,

I have read Securing Remote EJB on Glassfish 2 blog,its really wonderful. I made my desktop application working with my own CUSTOM REALM and my LoginModule mentioned in my realm.

I have a doubt that why do we need to put that auth.conf ... with default name as well as

com.sun.enterprise.security.auth.login.ClientPasswordLoginModule required debug=false;

into that...? Is it for the user and its credentials propagation..?

Secondly if i making the same web application then its working fine but the values are not getting propagated as

in ejbContext.getCallerPrincipal() i'm getting ANONYMOUS

wht shall i do to get the values at ejb side. also i'm unable to use the ejbContext.isCallerInRole() its not able to work.

I am trying to create catalogue portlet using liferay 6.0.2 portal source and pluginsdk.
I configured my eclipse as liferay IDE.
I created a portlet called catalogue-portlet.
Referred liferay portal source6.0.2 via build path.
I ran ant setup-eclipse command too in my portlet home folder.
created a package com.portlet.catalogue.
created service.xml using liferay ide.
defined only three fields for my catalogue.
the service.xml is,

Also when i refresh the project it shows internal error occured during build services.
Then the classes and interfaces are created with exceptions.
The classes are not recognizing their interfaces.

can u please elaborate the creation of pet catalogue portlet.

I'm not sure, but, oI remember in some cases I had issue with placing jsp-s in docroot, so, I've moved into /WEB-INF/jsp
Try to move your JSP there and change link to this path - probably it will help

Follow the article "from DB to simple UI", I try to build the similar portlet, but failed to link the JSP from the view.jsp.

I tried both the addJSP and addButton, none of them work, after deploy the war, and load the portlet, the link will lead to "URL not found", and here it is the java exception from liferay log.

Hi!
We extended standard Liferay Login form, as well as openId support to make it simpler to login with Google Account (like in EmForge.net - simple clicking on Google image) and support for Google Apps accounts.

As result, EmForge is a first (and probably only one) Liferay-based application on Google Apps marketplace. All sources are available in svn (in ext-project).
After upgrading to Liferay 6 (planned in nearest month) and adopting our changes for new version of Liferay we are going to publish it as reusable ext-plugin (hopefully Liferay SDK 6 allow implement ext as plugin) and publish info how we did it.

Of course all of these will be under open-source

And yes, it is possible to implement it so, it will allow login only for Google users

Is it possible to build a Liferay portal that only uses Google to authenticate users?

Will the login work for only Google or also Google Apps users?

I checked out the project from SVN again and the path is still [...]/project/[...] instead of [...]/web/[...]. Also I cannot create projects any longer.
Any suggestions?

Strange, I saw this message about log, but it do not affected on logs, so, it is why I did not care about them at all.
I will look at it more detailed - why this error happens and why logs may be not written

We did not included generated service sources into svn (to do not keep there generated sources) and do not included "build-service" into "deploy" or "war" target - since it no needs to regenrate it always.
So, yes, for first build it is required first to vall "build-service".

I fixed it and committed change into svn.

thank you for your immediate reply. I downloaded the sources from the svn repository, compiled and deployed the project. I ran into the following problems:

* The build process did not trigger the service-build target. When I started that target manually first and then the ant build the project compiled fine.

I did try to deploy both in Eclipse and command-line in MS_DOS too, Liferay did start correctly but my portlet did not.
I did not find the catalina.out in tomcat/logs/ folder.
Still need help.
